thing #4

Commenting helps someone stay excited. When there are more people interested in the same subject and everyone is sharing their thoughts, it helps a person not feel so alone. For me it is important when I am commenting on someone’s blog to tell how his/her idea was helpful and that I will keep on using it. The positive comments makes someone feel that they are doing things right.  Also before I choose any works or projects I read comments from other users which help me to make a choice. When there are comments on projects or activities, it helps others to avoid mistakes and save time.

I commented on Whitney Hamilton’s blog because when I was looking through our class, Whitney’s avatar had a lamb. I started reading and on her thing#9 I saw the picture of her and her boyfriend on a mission helping the homeless. It makes me happy (as a mother of three) when I see the young people having a meaningful life.

I commented on Jeffrey Doyle’s blog from the other class. I liked the license plate that he created. It has a message on the plate “Don’t Quit”. It is in reference to St. Jude hospital which is for children of childhood diseases. The hospital takes care of those families who cannot afford to pay.

From the other class, I commented on Amber Law’s blog because she is on her thing#5 writing about web 2.0. She is very confident on how she will use the tools of web 2.0 when she is teaching her students. On my comments I told her that reading her post gave me hope that I will be as good at web 2.0 and as confident as she is.

I was excited to comment on Natalie Lee’s blog because I know her and I knew how she was not “user friendly” with technology. Reading her blog makes me very happy for her, because she is doing really well and I told her that I am very proud of her. I wanted to show my support for her because she has supported me many times and has been a true friend.

On Stephen Smith’s blog I commented because, on the thing #13 he had done a really nice job. I can tell he is working hard and I wanted to give him thumbs up.

I chose to give comments because I believe it gives a person a much needed boost of confidents in their work and helps them stay strong in their endeavors. My comments only come if I either strongly agree or disagree or if I see a great deal of good work being accomplished.
